The fans at Staple Center will have something to cheer for this season, namely the arrival of three huge off season acquisitions. Dwight Howard is considered the best big man in the league, and he left Orlando in search of a team better fit to be fighting for an NBA title. He has found a home in LA, and with the help of other newcomers Steve Nash and Antawn Jamison, the thought of another title in the City of Angels is not that far off. Kobe Bryant has never needed much help, but he will have it this year. He is one of the best basketball players of all time, but he is chasing that elusive sixth title, which would put him on par with Michael Jordan's six titles. Even though Kobe has established himself and his own style, many people still like comparing him to MJ.
The Wolves have a long way to go to become a team as solid as LA, but they do have a great core to build on. Kevin Love is arguably the game's best power forward, and Ricky Rubio is a constant highlight show with his no look passes and amazing ball handling skills. It will be an interesting year to see how the Wolves improve upon last year, but they may want to watch the Lakers to see how its done.
