One of the best things that can happen to a professional sports team is when the owner cares so much about the franchise that they invest enough money to move a team to a better market. The Nets will rely on shifty point guard Deron Williams to lead the offense and provide energy on the court. The addition of Joe Johnson means that the scoring load will be taken off of Williams, allowing him to do more creative play making. Kris Humphries, fresh off his Hollywood romance with Kim Kardashian, will hold down the post game with Brooke Lopez. They are both very skilled big men, who might actually be able to hold their ground against the towers in Los Angeles . Gerald Wallace most likely will start as well, giving the Nets a very well rounded starting five that could make a dent in the playoffs this year. If all goes well, Jay-Z might be a very happy owner if his players can commit to playing hard on each possession.
The Lakers are stacked. They traded for the league's best big man, Dwight Howard, and obtained one of the best point guards, Steve Nash. It will be difficult for any team to deal with those two players as well as Kobe Bryant. Antawn Jamison also is moving west after leading the Cavaliers in scoring this past season. Meta World Peace and Pau Gasol are sticking around, which gives you an idea of just how talented this roster is from top to bottom. Kobe will not have the scoring pressure that he has had in the past, and the ball can be scored from pretty much any position on the court.
