San Antonio- For the sixth consecutive time the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Los Angeles Lakers, this time by a 90-84 score, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant averaging better than 40 points in his last five games, struggled to get open shots while being defended by Bruce Bowen.Kobe Bryant finished with 25 points, but he made only nine of his 33 attempts......Los Angeles Lakers F LaMar Odom was superb as he scored 27 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, but the Los Angeles Lakers could not overcaome the San Antonios Spurs balanced attack which was led by G Manu Ginobili who tallied 22 points and was one of five players who scored in double figures for the San Antonio Spurs,San Antonio Spurs F Tim Duncan added 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists for the San Antonio Spurs as well, the Los Angeles Lakers simply dug to big of a hole to battle out as they were behind by 12 points at the end of the first quarter and 11 entering the final period, but with a little under 3 minutes remaining in the game, the Los Angeles Lakers pulled to within 4 points when Los Angeles Lakers G Sasha Vujacic sank a three pointer while being fouled by San Antonio Spurs G Tony Parker to make the score 83-79, after San Antonio Spurs Ginobili and San Antonio Spurs G Michael Finley sank a pair of free throws each to seemingly put the game out of reach Los Angeles Lakers Lamar Odom snared a rebound off a Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers miss and put it up and in and made the score 87-84 but Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs sank two free throws to put the game away, in hwat was a valiant effort by the Los Angeles Lakers.....The Los Angeles Lakers, who shot 35 percent as a team, lost their fourth straight road game, the Los Angeles Lakers next game will be against the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City on Thursday.
