The Los Angeles Lakers wrap up a three-game homestand when they host the surprising Utah Jazz tonight at the Staples Center.

This is the second meeting of the season between the clubs. On November 24th, Carlos Boozer finished with 31 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Jazz over the Lakers, 114-108, at EnergySolutions Arena.

Utah has lost two of three and nine of its last 11 at the Lakers. The Jazz have won three of the last four contests in this series.

The Lakers have dropped two of their last three games overall. On Tuesday, Michael Redd scored a game-high 45 points, grabbed eight rebounds and handed out five assists to lift the Milwaukee Bucks to a 109-105 win over the Lakers at the Staples Center.

Superstar Kobe Bryant scored 27 points, but was just 7-of-23 from the floor in the loss to Milwaukee for the Lakers. Lamar Odom ended with 21 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists, while Smush Parker and Luke Walton had 14 points apiece for LA.

The Lakers, who defeated the New Jersey Nets, 99-93, on Sunday in the opener of the current homestand, are 8-2 as the host this season. They will act as the visitor on Saturday when they battle with the Clippers at the Staples Center.

Utah is fresh off a big victory. On Wednesday, Boozer scored 23 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead the Jazz to an 83-75 victory over the San Antonio Spurs at EnergySolutions Arena.

Deron Williams scored 15 points, dished out nine assists and hit all four three-pointers he attempted to help the Jazz snap a two-game losing skid. Matt Harpring scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the win over the Spurs for Utah.

The Jazz are 5-2 on the road this season. They return home to host the Seattle SuperSonics on Saturday and Milwaukee on Monday.
