How to Buy Online: Kevin Garnett to the Lakers? A multi-team discussion is underway that could eventually land Kevin Garnett in Los Angeles as a Laker, according to the Los Angeles Times. The teams involved are the Lakers, Minnesota , Indiana , and perhaps a fourth. The Times article reports the Lakers would get Garnett, the Pacers receive Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum, and financial fillers added to make the deal work under salary cap restrictions. The owners of the Lakers and Timberwolves spoke for 20 minutes on Friday. A move of this nature certainly would placate the Lakers' disgruntled star, Kobe Bryant. Bryant met for an hour with Lakers' GM Mitch Kupchak on Friday and sources told The Times that Bryant had opened a new line of communication with the team, perhaps indicating that he has softened his stance slightly.
