How to Buy Online: Kobe Bryant Trade Unlikely According to Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant may want out of Los Angeles but it doesn't appear the Lakers are willing to grant the 28-year-old superstar his wishes. Despite Bryant's near insistence that he be dealt the Lakers remain adamant that they will follow through with pursuing "every avenue possible to improve our team with (Bryant) as the cornerstone." So says Lakers owner Jerry Buss. Both Buss and Bryant met in Barcelona on Friday and spoke about the Lakers future but by Sunday the life-long Lakers guard posted a message on his website that included the passage, "When you love something as much as I love the Lakers its hard to even imagine thinking about being elsewhere, but, the ONE THING I will never sacrifice when it comes to basketball is WINNING." Kobe isn't the only one writing as Buss sent out a letter to season ticket-holders ensuring them, "Our goal has been, and remains to be, to build the Lakers into a team that can regularly compete for championships, I believe that we have always shown a willingness to do what needs to be done and spend what needs to be spent to deliver you championship caliber basketball.
