How to Buy Online: Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom had surgery on his left shoulder Tuesday and is expected to be fit before the start of next season. The arthroscopic procedure to repair a torn labrum was performed in Los Angeles , the Lakers said in a statement. Odom, who will wear a sling for 10 days before beginning rehabilitation, is scheduled to be back with the Lakers for their pre-season training camp in October. Odom averaged 15.9 points, 9.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 56 games in the 2006-07 season before injuring his shoulder against the Sacramento Kings on March 2. The Lakers lost five successive games immediately following his absence and Odom later suffered a knee injury before returning for their final 23 contests. He ended the season ranked 23rd among league leaders in double-doubles (25) and ninth in minutes played (39.3). In five post-season games, Odom averaged 19.4 points and 13.0 rebounds while posting a playoff career-high 33 points against Phoenix on May 2.
